BONCIANI LASER
Bonciani Laser’s journey began in 1993 when Dr. Pietro Bonciani, newly graduated in medicine and surgery, discovered the potential of an innovative laser therapy technique. In 2020, his daughter Sofia Bonciani joined the practice, bringing new energy to research and development. By 2022, their refined approach became the Bonciani Method, a structured and effective treatment model. In 2024, Bonciani Laser created and launched its first signature laser device.

The beginning
``In 1993, shortly after graduating, I read in the Gazzetta dello Sport that the renowned Italian skier Alberto Tomba had been referred to a clinic in Pisa to be treated with a pioneering laser therapy technique. I contacted the doctor behind this advanced method, who offered me a short internship at his clinic. Soon after, I was recruited as one of his closest collaborators and trained in this exclusive technique. And by the way, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr Pierfrancesco Parra, who passed away in November 2022. I instantly recognised the potential of laser therapy, its ability to deliver fast, effective results with no contraindication. From that moment on, I never stopped practicing and refining this method, driven by a deep passion and commitment to excellence. Dr. Pietro Bonciani • Surgeon
Dr. Pietro Bonciani - Sports Medicine Specialist - is a highly esteemed medical doctor. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in using high-energy lasers for therapeutic purposes. During his successful career, Dr. Bonciani has acquired a broad range of specialisations and an extensive experience in treating joint and muscle disorders, particularly among athletes. Based in Pisa, he has had the privilege of working with many elite athletes, playing a pivotal role in their swift recovery and return to competitive performance.

Sofia Bonciani • Physiotherapist
Sofia Bonciani, born on 13 April 1998 in Pisa, is a Physiotherapist. She graduated in 2021 and is registered with the TSRM and PSTRP Order (National Federation of Orders ofMedical Radiology Technicians and Health Professions in Rehabilitation and Prevention) of
Pisa-Livorno-Grosseto. From a young age, Sofia was inspired by her father's unwavering commitment to laser therapy, and dreamed of following in his footsteps. After inheriting not only his expertise but also his drive for excellence and commitment to constant growth, today Sofia continues to shape her approach with these values. In 2020, Sofia officially joined her father in the family business, thus bringing fresh perspectives and renewed energy to improve the existing approach. Their dynamic collaboration led to the creation of the Bonciani Method, which was formally defined and established in 2022. Sofia's dedication to the field of laser therapy is evident in her ongoing commitment to advanced training, as shown by her participation in courses organised by I.A.L.T. (Touch Life Rehab) and AIL (Accademia Italiana Laserterapia). From the very beginning of her academic career, Sofia has been actively involved in her father's research and has acquired in-depth knowledge of his approach to laser therapy. She is currently the driving force behind the continued development and refinement of this innovative technique.
